Recognizing Women's History Month

Women’s History Month (March) and International Women’s Day (March 8) are moments to reflect on female professionals who have an essential role in making the REIT industry more diverse and successful.

Women’s History Month—along with other awareness months throughout the year—serves as a reminder to celebrate diversity, promote equality, and continue the ongoing journey toward a more inclusive and equitable future. Nareit sees this as an additional opportunity to share ways in which its member REITs are working to increase the industry’s visibility, accessibility, and appeal by intentionally focusing on people, partnerships, and philanthropy.

This year, we’re sharing stories about the efforts REITs and other organizations are taking to advance education, workforce development, and business relationships within the industry to help foster welcoming, accessible, healthy, and inclusive workplace practices and cultures.

Nareit members are invited to submit their Women’s History Month activities or recognition, including news stories, photos, social posts, and videos to communications@nareit.com for inclusion on Nareit’s Developments blog.

By sharing these narratives, we hope to ignite conversations, challenge biases, and support the cultivation of an environment where opportunities are accessible to everyone, irrespective of their background.
