NAREIT Comments on FASB Proposed Deferral of Revenue Recognition Standard

On May 29, NAREIT submitted a letter to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regarding a proposal that would delay the effective date of the Revenue from Contracts with Customers standard and provide companies with the option to early adopt the standard.

While NAREIT concurred with a proposed deferral, NAREIT did not support the option to early adopt the standard.
