Digital Realty Trust (NYSE: DLR) named John Stewart senior vice president for investor relations. Previously, he led the industrial and technology REIT sector coverage at Green Street Advisors.
Connor
Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE) promoted James Connor to senior executive vice president and COO. He has been with the company since 1998 and was most recently senior regional executive vice president.
Extra Space Storage (NYSE: EXR) announced the retirement of Karl Hass, executive vice president and COO. Samrat Sondhi will take over as senior vice president of operations.
MAA (NYSE: MAA) named Robert DelPriore executive vice president and general counsel. DelPriore was most recently a shareholder with Baker, Donnelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC.
Stewart Zimmerman announced that he will be retiring as CEO of MFA Financial (NYSE: MFA) at the end of 2013. William Gorin, the company’s president, will take over as CEO upon Zimmerman’s departure. Craig Knutson will then become the company’s president and COO.
Scott Francis was named senior vice president and CAO of Parkway Properties (NYSE: PKY) replacing Daryl Waltman.

Tom Lewis is retiring from his position as CEO of Realty Income Corp. (NYSE: O) after 16 years on the job. Realty Income’s board of directors named John Case as the company’s new CEO. Case previously served as the company’s president and chief investment officer.

Trade Street Residential, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSRE) appointed Richard Ross as chief financial officer. Ross is the founder and owner of Chiron Consulting, LLC, an independent financial and operations consulting firm.
McDermott
Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (NYSE: WRE) named Paul McDermott as the company’s president and CEO. He is replacing George “Skip” McKenzie, who is retiring.
Glen Smith was named senior vice president and CFO of Wells Core Office Income REIT, replacing Brian Davis.
