REITWorld 2016: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT begins Nov. 15 with a full slate of events for the 1,500 attendees.

Day one of the three-day event at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa will feature a lunch panel on the state of the real estate capital markets hosted by 2017 NAREIT Chair Timothy Naughton, chairman and CEO of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB). Participants include Nora Creedon, managing director and portfolio manager with Goldman Sachs; Steve Sakwa, head of real estate research with Evercore ISI; A. William Stein, CEO of Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR); and Seth Weintrob, managing director and global head of real estate with Morgan Stanley.

In the morning, Brad Case, senior vice president for research and industry information for NAREIT, is moderating a panel on the economic outlook. He will be joined by NAREIT colleagues Calvin Schnure, senior vice president for research and economic analysis, and John Worth, senior vice president for research and investor outreach.

NAREIT Executive Vice President & General Counsel Tony Edwards will lead an afternoon roundtable with an update on the latest developments in Washington. Other NAREIT panelists include Cathy Barre, senior vice president for policy and politics; Robert Dibblee, senior vice president for government relations; and Kirk Freeman, vice president for government relations.

Richard Florida, founder of the Creative Class Group, will speak at the invitation-only Advisory Board of Governors Reception and Dinner.

Registration for the meeting opens in the afternoon of November 14..
