The Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC) serves as an advisory body to Nareit’s leadership and staff on a variety of research and investor outreach related activities. Nareit’s Investor Outreach Program includes education and related initiatives pertaining to defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, investment managers and providers, financial intermediaries and, more recently, global investors. Likewise, Nareit’s Research Program develops and sponsors a broad array of research analyses and materials to support the association’s education initiatives with respect to today’s diverse audience of investment organizations.
The REIAC includes approximately 30 research and investment professionals from leading investment firms and academic organizations with expertise in the public real estate market. With guidance from the REIAC, we endeavor to combine the perspectives of producers and consumers of research in order to enhance Nareit’s ability to produce and sponsor REIT and real estate research of optimum value to the marketplace.
The REIAC meets by invitation with Nareit’s Board of Governors and convenes at semi-annual breakfast meetings held during Nareit's REITweek: Investor Conference and Nareit's REITworld: Annual Conference.
REIAC membership is rotating in nature to benefit from the changing viewpoints and backgrounds introduced by new members.
