Coalition Calls on Trump to Maintain Treatment of Like-Kind Exchanges

NAREIT was part of a group of industry organizations that wrote to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Sept. 16 to explain the benefits of the current tax law treatment of like-kind exchanges.

“As you continue to roll out your economic policy initiatives, we urge you preserve the tax law’s longstanding treatment of like-kind exchanges,” the organizations wrote in a letter to Trump.

Previously, the organizations wrote a similar letter to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
