Nareit Talks Housing Finance on Capitol Hill

mREIT CEOs recently met with Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), chairman of the newly-created Subcommittee on National Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy—a subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee.

The CEOs at the meeting were Phillip A. Reinsch of Capstead Mortgage Corporation; Byron L. Boston of Dynex Capital; and Gary Kain of AGNC Investment Corp. They met in the congressman’s Capitol Hill office to discuss the positive role mREITs serve in enhancing real estate and home buying opportunities.
