Veris Residential, Inc. (NYSE: VRE) will be the lead sponsor in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Walk/Run 5K later this month. The REIT, which serves as a corporate sponsor of St. Jude’s year-round, is seeking to raise $100,000 at the event.
Karen Cusmano, SVP and head of sustainability and ESG at Veris, said in a press release that the REIT is committed “to not only continuously give back to the communities in which we work and live, but also maintain a deep connection with causes that positively impact the lives of children.”
Returning in-person for the first time since 2019, the event will be held on Sept. 24 at 9:00 a.m. in East Rutherford, N.J. Kirsten Ferguson, a popular Peloton instructor, will serve as a special guest and lead participants in a warm-up stretch.
Held every September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity for advocacy organizations, health care institutions, patients, and families to come together to raise awareness of childhood cancers.
