Nareit is pleased to welcome BSR Real Estate Investment Trust and Fibra Educa as its newest corporate members.

Several REIT-related tax bills were introduced in the Hawaii state legislature late last week.

REITPAC continued a stretch of successful contribution years in 2019, with executives from 75 Nareit members contributing more than $1.2 million.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ December jobs report, released on Friday, Jan. 10, shows a slowing job market at the end of 2019, says Calvin Schnure, Nareit’s senior vice president of research and economic analysis.

Member REITs can submit their IRS Form 1099-DIV data to Nareit for posting on the Nareit website.

The updated chart includes withholding rates for individuals, non-individual entities, pension trusts, and tax-exempt charities.

Nareit also attended 56 institutional investment conferences during the year.

Nareit’s CEO Forum & Advocacy Day will take place Feb. 25-26, 2020 in Washington, D.C.

Late on Dec. 20 President Trump signed a major appropriations measure, the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020, or H.R. 1865, to fund the Federal Government through Fiscal Year 2020.
