Acadia Realty Trust (NYSE: AKR) said AJ Levine has been promoted to executive vice president, leasing and development. Erica Pipitone has been promoted to vice president, financial reporting. Acadia also announced that Joseph Napolitano intends to retire as senior vice president, chief administrative officer, on or about April 1. Napolitano’s retirement follows 31 years with Acadia and as a member of its senior leadership team since 2007.
Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: ABR) announced the appointment of Jeff Lee as executive vice president and head of agency lending. Prior to joining Arbor, Lee served as president of NewPoint Real Estate, a real estate financing platform.
DiamondRock Hospitality Company (Nasdaq: DRH) reported that Chairman William McCarten will retire from the board of directors at the end of his current term on April 29. At that time, Bruce Wardinski will become non-executive chairman, and the size of the board will be reduced from nine directors to eight.
Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) said Michael Sartori, head of capital markets and financial planning and analysis, has been appointed CFO. Mr. Sartori succeeds Robert Colligan, who is leaving the CFO role by mutual agreement. Colligan has agreed to remain with Dynex to serve in an advisory role through May 1.
Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE: FRT) promoted Jeff Kreshek to the position of executive vice president, Western region president and COO. "Jeff's leadership has helped shape the strength and reputation of our West Coast portfolio," said Don Wood, president and CEO.
Kilroy Realty Corp. (NYSE: KRC) announced the appointment of Gary Stevenson as chair of the board, Edward Brennan as chair of the audit committee, and Jolie Hunt as chair of the executive compensation committee. In addition, Kilroy announced the appointment of two new directors, Cia Buckley Marakovits and David Kieske, to the board.
National Health Investors, Inc. (NYSE:NHI) said Lilly Donohue has been appointed to the NHI board of directors. Donohue is currently president and CEO of Everstory Partners.
NNN REIT, Inc. (NYSE: NNN) said Steven Cosler has retired from the board, of which he was chair since May 2021. Edward Fritsch, an independent director, has been appointed to succeed Cosler as chair. Fritsch is the former president and CEO of Highwoods Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HIW).
Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) announced the election of Nina Jones and Bill Bayless to the board of trustees. Jones's election is effective March 1 while Bayless is expected to join during the fourth quarter. Jones retired from T. Rowe Price, where she most recently served as vice president, portfolio manager of the U.S. real estate equity strategy. Bayless is the CEO of Maslow Campus Communities and co-founded American Campus Communities.
Piedmont Realty Trust (NYSE: PDM) promoted Alex Valente to co-COO, working alongside George Wells, to oversee all property management and asset management areas of the company. Valente, who has most recently served as executive vice president of Piedmont’s Southeast region, has been with the company for almost 20 years.
Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD) promoted Nathaalie Carey to chief administrative officer. She will continue in her role as chief human resources officer and will add responsibility for global and regional marketing and global communications.
Public Storage (NYSE: PSA) announced key leadership appointments, including the promotion of Tom Boyle, chief financial and investment officer to CEO as of April 1. Joe Russell will be retiring from his roles as president and CEO on March 31, and will provide consulting services through March 31, 2027, to support the transition. Joe Fisher has been appointed president, CFO. He was most recently the president and chief financial and investment officer at UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR).
Public Storage also said Natalia Johnson, chief administrative officer, is being promoted to president, chief digital and transformation officer. Chris Sambar is being promoted to president, COO, and will now also oversee the PS Advantage third-party management platform. Ayash Basu has also joined as chief revenue and marketing officer. He most recently served as a managing director and partner at the Boston Consulting Group.
Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) said Martin Cicco has been appointed to the board of directors. Cicco has more than 45 years of real estate and capital markets experience, including initiating Evercore Partners' Real Estate Strategic Advisory practice after founding MJC Associates.
SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc. (NYSE: SMA) named Chief Investment Officer Wayne Johnson to its board of directors. Johnson has served as chief investment officer since 2015. He also served as president from 2019 until his appointment to the board.
Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) announced that Fernando Castro-Caratini has assumed the role of CFO on an interim basis, following the departure of Mark Patten. The company is conducting a broad search to identify a permanent CFO. Castro-Caratini, who joined Sun in 2016, had been serving as a senior advisor to Sun and previously served as its CFO.
