Nareit members from across the REIT industry traveled to the nation’s capital last week for Nareit’s annual CEO Forum & Advocacy Day. The two-day event provides Nareit members the opportunity for face-to-face meetings with congressional leaders and policymakers to discuss the most pressing issues facing REITs and real estate investment.
The interaction between Nareit’s member CEOs and elected officials is an important way to illustrate the benefits of REITs as real estate working for you. This year, 27 REIT executives participated in meetings with 35 members of Congress.
