Nareit Hawaii has donated $50,000 to the Hawaii Resilience Fund in support of the Hawaii Homeless Healthcare Hui, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive medical services for Oahu’s chronically homeless population.

On March 27, Nareit Hawaii joined other organizations with initial funding to support the start-up and operations of mobile testing to serve homeless individuals on Oahu impacted by the coronavirus crisis.

The grant from Nareit Hawaii is supporting a public-private partnership between the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii Community Foundation, MacNaughton Foundation and other supporters to have the Hawaii Homeless Healthcare Hui establish and operate the new COVID-19 Medical Triage and Quarantine Center at 524 Ka‘aahi Street in Honolulu.
