Nareit Senior Vice President for Research & Industry Information Brad Case moderated an Oct. 18 panel discussion on hedge funds sponsored jointly by the Washington, D.C., chapters of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) organizations.
The panelists included a hedge fund manager, an alternative investments manager that makes use of hedge funds, and a provider of hedge fund replication exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The discussion encompassed several issues that come up frequently in Nareit’s investor outreach activities, including accurate risk evaluation, the institutional investment decision-making process and the evolving role of investment consultants.
