Meredith Despins, NAREIT senior vice president for investment affairs and investor education, recently spoke as a panelist at the Real Estate Investors Summit – West, held in Dana Point, California.
Despins offered perspectives on:
- Risk management within the real estate portfolio;
- Optimizing investment allocations across the real estate asset class; and
- The role of real estate investment in portfolio diversification.
The summit, sponsored by Opal Financial Group, targeted a diverse audience of pension and endowment plan sponsors, investment consultants, family offices and other institutional investors.
Separately, Brad Case, NAREIT senior vice president for research and industry information, recently delivered a presentation on investing in real estate through public and private markets to about 30 members of the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Tucson, Arizona.
