August 24, 2017 - During a visit to Chicago, Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL), center, met with REIT executives, including Equity Residential President & CEO David Neithercut, right, and NAREIT President & CEO Steve Wechsler, left. Rep. Roskam is chairman of the House Subcommittee on Tax Policy. He was briefed on current issues before Congress related to REITs and the publicly traded real estate industry, including the Marketplace Fairness Act.
