Three NAREIT Corporate Members have been recognized as part of Fortune magazine’s annual list of “The World’s Most Admired Companies.”
Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE: SPG), Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: HST), and Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR) took three of the top five slots for 2017 in the real estate segment.
Simon Property Group held onto the number one position in the real estate segment from last year. Host Hotels tied for second place, retaining its ranking from last year. Equity Residential placed fifth.
Jones Lang LaSalle tied for second place with Host Hotels. CBRE Group took fourth place.
To create the industry lists, Korn Ferry Hay Group, the magazine’s survey partner, asked executives, directors and analysts to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria, ranging from investment value to social responsibility.
