Welltower Raises More Than $3 Million to Fight Alzheimer's

NAREIT Corporate Member Welltower Inc. (NYSE: HCN) has raised more than $3 million to donate to fight Alzheimer's Disease.

The Toledo, Ohio-based health care REIT said on May 9 that it will donate the fundraising proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association, an organization dedicated to Alzheimer's care, support and research. The contribution includes $250,000 from Welltower employees and $250,000 from the Welltower Foundation.

Additionally, Welltower CEO Thomas J. DeRosa was recognized as the Alzheimer’s Association National Honoree at its annual Brain Ball event held in Washington, D.C., on May 6.
