Mark Decker, Jr., CEO of Chiron Real Estate Inc. (NYSE: XRN), sat down for a video interview at Nareit’s REITweek: 2026 Investor Conference in New York, June 1-4.
After more than a decade operating as Global Medical REIT, the company has started a new chapter as Chiron, with a strategy that involves expanding beyond its traditional outpatient medical focus into adjacent areas within the broader health care and senior living ecosystem.
Decker noted that Chiron is interested in newer, more tech-enabled senior housing properties that appeal to a younger cohort of clients. “This is my mom’s senior housing, not my grandmother’s,” he said.
As for potential Chiron investors, Decker said the message is that “we’re a transition story…the returns on capital are getting better and now is a great time to be looking at the company.”
