Boston Properties CEO Owen Thomas Named New Global Chairman of ULI

Owen Thomas, CEO of Boston Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BXP), has been named the new Urban Land Institute (ULI) global chairman. He will serve a two-year term that ends June 30, 2021.

Thomas succeeds Thomas Toomey, president and CEO of multifamily REIT UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR), who was the first CEO of a public firm to serve as global chairman.

“ULI is the leading organization for curating and disseminating industry knowledge and best practices in community building. No other organization comes close to ULI, in terms of sharing expertise and celebrating success stories that can benefit land use decision-making in communities around the globe,” Thomas said.

Thomas has been a ULI member for more than 30 years.
