Nareit’s REITweek: 2026 Investor Conference brought more than 2,300 members of the REIT community to New York City on June 1-4, including representatives from more than 1,600 companies and organizations across the listed real estate and investment industries. Investors held one-on-one meetings with senior management teams from approximately 160 REITs and publicly traded real estate companies in attendance.
REITweek continued to demonstrate its role as the industry’s premier investor conference, with investment firms representing the largest attendee category and nearly 20% of registrants participating as investors. More than 430 C-suite executives attended the conference, and nearly two-thirds of attendees were returning participants from prior REITweek conferences.
The week began with the 10th annual REIT Investor Relations Symposium at the New York Stock Exchange, co-hosted by Nareit and the NYSE. Investor relations professionals from across the REIT industry gathered to discuss evolving best practices, investor engagement, and trends shaping communications with the investment community.
The conference officially opened with the Capital Markets and REIT Outlook lunch general session moderated by 2026 Nareit Chair Sumit Roy, president and CEO of Realty Income Corporation (NYSE: O). Panelists Andy Richard of Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Joseph Lupton of J.P. Morgan, and Seth Carpenter of Morgan Stanley discussed the macroeconomic environment, capital markets conditions, and implications for commercial real estate and REIT investment activity.
Global investment themes were a major focus throughout the week. A panel featuring European listed real estate leaders explored the unique value proposition of listed real estate for global investors and discussed trends across the office, retail, and residential sectors. The conference concluded with a closing session co-hosted by Bloomberg Intelligence examining innovation and opportunity across REIT markets in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Additional sessions throughout the conference explored topics including AI adoption in real estate, sustainability, innovation, capital allocation, and evolving opportunities across property sectors including data centers, industrial, retail, and residential real estate.
Nareit also announced the winners of the 2026 Investor CARE Awards, recognizing excellence in REIT investor communications and reporting. Regency Centers Corporation (Nasdaq: REG) received both the 2026 REITPAC Leadership Award and the 2026 REITPAC Teamwork Award in recognition of the company’s support for REITPAC and industry advocacy efforts.
Throughout the week, Nareit shared conference highlights and conversations across social media while the communications team conducted video interviews with REIT executives and industry leaders.
