SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 7— On the opening day of its REITworld 2018 annual conference today, Nareit announced the election of its 2019 officers, as well as the members of its Executive Board, the organization’s governing board, and its Advisory Board of Governors.
Nareit’s new Chair is Sandeep Mathrani, CEO, Brookfield Properties Retail and Vice Chairman, Brookfield Properties. Mathrani takes over from Nareit’s 2018 Chair, Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr., Chairman, President and CEO of Park Hotels and Resorts Inc.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the REIT industry as Nareit’s 2019 Chair,” Mathrani said. “My predecessors as Chair achieved a great deal on behalf of our industry. We will continue their important work in the year ahead, reaching out to all of our audiences to build recognition for the importance of REITs as an investment and as a key contributor to our economy.”
