REITs Shaping Communities

Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee, met with several Maryland-based REIT executives during a visit to Bethesda, Maryland.

Rep. Dave Schweikert (R-AZ), a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, visited STORE Capital's headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ and met with CEO Chris Volk. 

Rep. Michael Bishop (R-MI), a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, visited the SkyVue complex located on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. The facility is owned and operated by EdR. 

Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL) met with executives of First Industrial Realty Trust at their headquarters in Chicago. Rep. LaHood, who represents the Springfield area, is the newest member of the House Ways & Means Committee.

Rep. George Holding (R-NC) was the honored guest at a luncheon held in Raleigh, NC to benefit his re-election campaign as part of Nareit's Capital Leadership Circle initiative. 

Rep. Michael Turner (R-OH) visited the Astoria Health & Rehab Center located in Germantown, OH, that is owned by Omega Healthcare Investors and operated by Saber Healthcare Group.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) visited the Wilton Mall in Saratoga Springs, NY, which is owned and operated by Macerich. 

Rep. Jason Lewis (R-MN) visited the Twin Cities Premium Outlets in Eagan, MN, which are owned and operated by Simon Property Group. During his visit, the Congressman was briefed on the Outlets' recent activities.

Rep. Dan Donovan (R-NY) visited the Staten Island Mall on Staten Island, NY that is owned and managed by GGP, Inc. During the visit, the Congressman received an update on the mall's current expansion.
