American Homes 4 Rent (NYSE: AMH) announced the retirement of Jack Corrigan from his role as chief investment officer. He will continue to assist in the transition of his role over the balance of the year and will also continue to serve on the board of trustees. Corrigan was one of the original members of the American Homes 4 Rent team, the company said.

Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BXMT) said Douglas Armer, executive vice president, capital markets and treasurer, will resign effective July 31. Anthony Marone, Jr., the company’s CFO, will serve as treasurer upon Armer’s departure.

Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR) appointed Mary Hogan Preusse as chairman of the board of directors. She succeeds Laurence Chapman, who will remain on the board. Before joining Digital Realty’s board, she was managing director of real estate in North and South America for APG Asset Management for 17 years.

UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR) said Joseph Fisher was appointed to the role of president in addition to his current responsibilities as CFO. Fisher, who has served as SVP and CFO since January 2017, will take on additional responsibilities in the areas of company-wide innovation, ESG oversight, and human capital.

Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) said Bill (BJ) Grant has joined the company as SVP, investor relations. He brings more than 20 years of investment management experience through his previous role at Morgan Stanley as portfolio manager and head of U.S. real estate.

Ventas also announced the appointment of Pamela Boneham as a senior strategic advisor to its Ventas Investment Management (VIM) Platform. She has over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate and the institutional investment advisory business.

Veris Residential, Inc. (NYSE: VRE) appointed Karen Cusmano to the newly-created role of SVP, head of sustainability and ESG. Cusmano will oversee a dedicated ESG team focused on growing Embrace by Veris Residential, a program centered around properties, people, and the planet. Cusmano previously held leadership roles in asset management, operations, and accounting within the company.

VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI) appointed Kellan Florio as SVP, chief investment officer and Moira McCloskey, vice president, capital markets. Florio joins VICI from Goldman Sachs, where he spent the last 15 years in the real estate investment banking group. McCloskey joins VICI from Bank of America Securities, where she was a managing director in the equity capital markets group.

Washington Prime Group Inc. (NYSE: WPG) said Mark Morrison has joined the team as chief transformation officer. Previously, he was the founder and managing director of the Neeba Group, and has extensive experience in the hospitality and real estate industries.

Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corp. (NYSE: WMC) announced that Robert Lehman has been named as CFO. Lehman is a real estate and REIT specialist with more than 35 years of experience in accounting, auditing, strategic plan creation and execution, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently he was a senior partner overseeing major real estate accounts at EY.

Weyerhaeuser (NYSE: WY) noted the death of George Weyerhaeuser Sr., the company’s long-time former leader and great-grandson of founder Frederick Weyerhaeuser. Weyerhaeuser served as president and CEO from 1966 to 1991 and continued to serve as board chairman through 1999. He oversaw significant growth of the company, according to the REIT, including a number of major timberland acquisitions, and had an enduring impact on the evolution of forest management at Weyerhaeuser and across the industry. He was 95.
